Biography
Early life
At 12 years old, Dima Šavrovas was huge in the music scene of Lithuania. His major hit to date is Mama which is still very popular. He currently is the youngest person to have won the "Bravo" music award for the song of the year with his song Mama. At the age of 12 he released his first album “Svajonių laivas”. At the age of 15 he moved to the UK where he lived for 8 years; he completed secondary education there and acquired musical education. Returned to Lithuania and won Grand Prix at an international contest “Palanga 2005” together with Hywel Sam.
Professional life
In 2007 Sasha Song recorded a single “Ne Uletaj” (feat. SEL). Single won 1st place in „Russkoe Radio Baltija“. The song remained in TOP 10 for 14 weeks.
In 2008 Sasha song with a song “Miss-Kiss” participated in Lithuania national selection for “Eurovision”, at semi-final he got 1st place, in finals – 3rd place and became a favorite for lots of people.
He participated in LNK project “Music Academy”. It was a good opportunity for singer to show his talent for larger audience, but unfortunately he acheved just 3rd place. Although he didn’t get good evaluation in “Music Academy”, Sasha Song continued to pursue his goals.
He represented Lithuania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in the second Semi-Final and advanced to the Final where he finished in 23rd place. Dmitry has earlier worked with Eurovision Song Contest 2008 winner Dima Bilan. At Eurovision pre-selection final he received full points from all the juries. He participated again in Lithuania's national selection for Eurovision 2010 along with Nora with the song "Say Yes to Life."
Singer participated in concert tour in Lithuania togerther with „Tabami“ group. „Tabami“ is knowns for event cycles, where real sound music shows are the accent. Sasha song played famous singer George Michael songs.
Before Eurovision contest Sasha Song participated in an international contest „Malta Euro Song“, where he got 2nd place. After the „Eurovision“ he received an offer to participate in an international pop song contest in Tallin „LAAGNA LAUL“, where he also got 2nd place.
